About GIZ India
Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an enterprise owned by the German Government. GIZ implements sustainable development through international cooperation, on behalf of Germany and other partners. To address India’s need for sustainable and inclusive growth, in partnership with stakeholders, GIZ’s key focal areas are Energy, Environment and Sustainable Economic Development.
The Inclusive Cities Partnership Programme (ICPP) under the Indo-German Environmental Partnership for Urban and Industrial Development (IGEP-UID), being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and GIZ India, concentrates on areas of inclusive urban development with primary focus towards housing and better services for the urban poor.
