Mr P Balaji

P Balaji has been responsible for developing strategic plans for the growth of the company (Nokia), establishing strong partnerships in India and driving the company’s sales. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Sony Mobile Communications India. He has held leadership roles in Ericsson India, and handled diverse roles in marketing, strategy, sales, technical solution, communications, corporate affairs and business development. P Balaji is an electronics engineer from IIT Roorkee and holds an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad. He has over 23 years of experience in telecom and information technology. He has been associated with start-up ventures of TATA group, AT&T, Ericsson, Lucent and Sony during this period, where he has held senior leadership positions. He has also been the chairman of several taskforces/ expert groups set up by Department of Telecommunications and Planning Commission on policy matters. He has also been member of National Council of Apex Industry Chambers such as CII, FICCI and ASSOCHAM and Co-Chairman of their telecom national sub-committees. P Balaji is past president of Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association (TEMA) and Northern Region Chairman of Telecom Export Promotion Council.
