Mr Satish Pradhan

Satish Pradhan has been Chief, Group Human Resources and Executive Vice-President of Group Human Resources at Tata Sons Limited. He has also served as Head, the Tata Group HR function. Prior to joining the Tata group in April 2001, he was with ICI Plc in London at their head office as Organisation Design and Development Manager (Group Human Resources). In the last 30 years, he has worked with Steel Authority of India, CMC, ICI India, Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd (now Unilever India), ICI Plc in various capacities in the HR area. Pradhan has built on the legacy of the two (50 year old) institutions of TAS and TMTC and created a unique HR function in the Tata Group. He has also served as Director, Tata Services Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited. He is a member of the governing body of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and National HRD Network; the Executive Committee of the Bombay Natural History Society, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and National Committee on HRD and Women’s Empowerment. Pradhan holds a Master’s in History from Delhi University.
