GLOBAL WATER WALK FOR PEACE

CMS VATAVARAN in association with Jal Jan Jodo Andolan organised a Symbolic March on Global Water Walk for Peace on October 11 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. The water walk commenced from Rajiv Chowk Gate No.4 till NDMC Convention Centre.

CMS VATAVARAN also collaborated with Raahgiri, Delhi’s most popular street fete started as an initiative introduced to improve the environment to organize the Water Walk, a first in Raahgiri .

The walk was led by Rajendra Singh popularly known as the ‘Waterman of India’ and Mr Ashok Lavasa, Secretary, MoEF & CC.

This World Water Walk for Peace was a global campaign of Stockholm Water Prize Laureate, Mr. Rajendra Singh on Water Security which was first launched earlier this year in the UK. He plans to walk across five continents to raise awareness for his campaign on Water Rights.

The event was open attended by people of all age groups.
