Discussion on River Rejuvenation

This was conducted on the first day of the festival and two of the most prominent speakers were invited Mr Rajendra Singh, the Water Man of India and Mr Ravi Singh, CEO, WWF India to discuss and share their views and experiences on river rejuvenation. They talked about their contribution towards protecting rivers and encouraged practices that will help save water bodies in India. Rajendra Singh shared about his work from rural Rajasthan on river rejuvenation and achieving water security for people and Mr Ravi spoke for the wildlife in the river ecosystem.

Mr Hem Pande, Additional Secretary, MoEF & CC was also present during this discussion. He reiterated on the importance of rejuvenation of water bodies and emphasised on the role of films in promoting awareness for water conservation.
