The 8th Competitive edition of CMS VATAVARAN received a total of 178 entries (117 Indian and 61 International).
These film entries were subjected to a rigorous peer review to check whether the films adhered to the themes, eligibility criteria and guidelines. Those films which did not fulfill the submission criteria were not taken forward in the selection process.
Thereby, The Nomination Jury Meet was held from June 24th to 26th, 2015 at ISID, New Delhi. A panel comprising of 24 eminent personalities from widely divergent sectors and streams viewed more than 83 hours of films in order to carefully select the final 75 films.
The Nomination Jury was headed by Mr. Rajendra Singh, 2015 Stockholm Water Prize winner and popularly called the Water Man of India.
